Quality hotels for Ealing

WHY doesn’t Ealing have more than one quality hotel?

The only one I can immediately can think of is the Ramada Jarvis on Ealing Common. Surely there must be a market for more.

With its close proximity to Heathrow, you would think the place would be bustling with quality hotels and guest houses.

Ealing should be the natural place for tourists and business visitors to stay. With it’s excellent transport connections it should be easy for the airport and also for central London.

But for some reason, quality accommodation has been lacking historically in the borough. It’s time our business leaders, the town hall and developers got together to remedy this.

Ealing has so much to offer, excellent shops, restaurants, nightlife and we should all be working to make it the natural first choice for tourists etc.

Let’s hope we can work out a way to take advantage of the millions of visitors coming through Ealing.

IT should also help to establish Ealing as the voice of west London. Let me have your thoughts on this.

Comments...

Why would toursists want to come and stay in Ealing where crime and violence are rife and Sammy the Squirrel is at large taking monkey nuts from innocent monkeys?

Seriously though Ealing is not quite Heathrow and it is not quite Central London. It is in a sort of limbo between the two. From a major hotel chain's point of view why would you build a hotel in Ealing as the ABC1 clientelle they want to attract want to stay close to the airport and conversely they want to be near the City or the theatre district.

Now my rant is over I am off to put some cream on my sore bum....

Have you been to the Ramada Jarvis lately? It is sadly one of the worst in terms of investment and the ambience. The foyer is so sad that you want to clear the place as soon as you enter. To cap it all they have introduced charges for parking a car for a short time - there goes the coffee/lunch market.

This sums up the shortsighted investment in attracting the tourist dollar/rupee/euro etc.. to the Borough.

Enough said. Peace! Jagga.
